本日は、朝からトレッキングへ日本最大級の広さを誇るカルスト台地に向かいました。

雄大な景色が広がる「カルストロード」や地下には「秋芳洞」をはじめとする巨大な鍾乳洞の数々でmジオパークのガイドさんから英語で「ドリーネ」という酸性雨が溶け出してできた大きな穴や、石灰岩を溶かしてできた鍾乳洞は、地上では見られない神秘的な世界を感じることができました。

フェリーに乗って、本日滞在させていただく、海の郷へ。

夕食は皆んなで一緒に準備して、今日の感想を全員でひとりずつ英語で発表も行いました。夕食後は、平和学習に回天記念館を訪れました。展示されている資料を熱心に拝読し、当時の様子を自分たちの目で見て学ぶことができました。

For our second day, the entire 1st Grade US Course had a blast. It was a little tiring, but it was a very satisfying day. Today they went to Akiyoshi-Dai, Akiyoshido Cave and Ozushima Island.From the top view, to underground, and even to the sea, the whole class learned a lot about the history of Japan. Everyone understood the importance of learning history and how it helps shape them into future leaders.
